Rebecca Alvarez | Paralegal
Rebecca Alvarez joined us as a paralegal in 2015. Originally from Fredericksburg, Rebecca graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations and then obtained her paralegal certificate. Even in school, Rebecca found herself fascinated with family law. Since she began her paralegal career in 2006 she has proved skilled in the field and demonstrated it by earning Board Certification in Family Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2011.
Catrina Sorensen | Paralegal
Catrina Sorensen became a paralegal in 1995 and began working exclusively in family law in 2009. She has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2013. As a child of divorce and a divorcée herself, she is empathetic to her clients and thoroughly understands the hardship and emotional turmoil endured by all family members impacted by divorce.
She is an active member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas, an Associate Member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, and a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas. Catrina is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA of Travis County.
Catrina enjoys playing competitive soccer, travelling to new places, outdoor adventures and spending time with her very large family and wonderful friends.
Sara Martin | Paralegal
Sara Martin joined Bryant Colletti Kaplan Kinsler De La Reza, LLP in February of 2020 as a paralegal with twelve years of experience, nine of which were exclusively in family law. Sara is committed to connecting with her clients to ensure their understanding of the litigation process which can be very confusing and overwhelming. She also strives to be efficient as possible to minimize the impact on the client’s finances. Sara is an active member of the Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas and the Capital Area Paralegal Association.
Outside of the office, Sara enjoys traveling with her family, spending time by the water, and attending her children’s competitive sporting events.
Krystal Ramon | Paralegal
Krystal Ramon began her career in the legal field in 2009 as a legal assistant in West Texas focusing on family, criminal, and civil cases. While working, she completed her associate and bachelor’s degrees in legal studies, and then went to law school. She obtained her JD degree from UNT Dallas College of Law in 2020. She became a Board-Certified Paralegal in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2021. Krystal has also started the LLM program at St. Mary’s University and plans to continue her education so that she may better serve her clients during their time of need.
Jalene Brown | Paralegal
Jalene Brown is a family law paralegal at Bryant, Colletti, Kaplan, Kinsler, De la Reza, LLP, bringing a client-centered approach and a strong attention to detail to every matter she handles. She began her legal career in 2021, building her foundation through roles in litigation support and legal administration before joining the firm in 2024 as a litigation assistant. She has since advanced to her current role as a paralegal.
Originally from Seattle, Washington, Jalene is known among colleagues and clients alike for her professionalism, composure under pressure, and dedication to thoughtful, attentive service. Outside of work, she enjoys unwinding at home with her two cats.
Kim Griffin | Receptionist
Kim Griffin joined BCKKD as receptionist in 2024. She has a professional background in Media & Marketing within the Engineering & Consulting industry, where she honed her time management, customer service, and interpersonal skills. As a long-time Austinite, she shares her life with her husband and their two rescue Chihuahuas, Iggy and Chula. Her passions include traveling, the arts, and interior design. She also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
Brooke Arias | Office Manager
Brooke Arias supports the firm’s operations with a strong background in business administration and human resources management. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Concordia University in Austin, Texas, in 2003 and brings extensive experience in organizational management, employee relations, and administrative operations.
Brooke holds both the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credentials, demonstrating her commitment to best practices in human resources and workplace management. She is also a certified mediator, reflecting her strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
A native of Austin, Texas, Brooke values being part of the local community and contributing to the success of organizations serving Central Texas. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her dog, exploring art, and experiencing Austin’s vibrant live music scene.
